Public Speaking Needs Rehearsal

The other day, I was chatting with a gentleman who speaks often at technical events, especially on Microsoft technology. My takeaway from that conversation was: There is a great deal of rehearsal done on important public speaking events. People like Steve Jobs and other prominent public personalities *actually* do rehearse prior to their presentation. It's more or less like a 'show'.

I shouldn't have been that surprised to hear that, but I never really thought about it.
